General Surgery

What We Do

At Royal Green Hospital, we specialise in general surgery, the branch of medicine that deals with diverse surgical needs for different parts of the body. We offer a wide range of general surgery services, such as:

  • Digestive Tract Surgery – Conditions affecting the oesophagus, stomach, intestines, colon, rectum and anus.
  • Abdominal Surgery – Conditions affecting the abdominal organs, such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen and appendix.
  • Skin Surgery – Conditions affecting the skin, such as skin cancer, cysts, warts and moles.
  • Endocrine Surgery Conditions affecting the endocrine glands, such as thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands.

How We Do It

We use the latest technology and techniques to provide high-quality care for our patients. We offer a variety of surgical and endoscopic procedures, such as:

  • Open Surgery: We make a large incision to access the affected area and perform the operation.
  • Minimally Invasive Surgery: We make small incisions and use special instruments to perform the operation with less trauma and faster recovery.
  • Vascular Surgery: We conduct surgeries to treat diseases and disorders of the blood vessels, such as aneurysms, blockages, and varicose veins.
  • Endoscopic Procedures: We insert a thin, flexible tube with a camera and light into the body through a natural opening or a small incision to examine and treat the affected area.

Who We Work With

We work closely with other specialists, such as:

  • Radiologists: They use imaging techniques, such as X-rays, ultrasound, MRI and CT scans, to diagnose and treat various conditions.
  • Pathologists: They examine tissues, cells and fluids to identify diseases and abnormalities.
  • Oncologists: They specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
